Albrecht Bosler

When it comes to technology, Albrecht Bosler is the right person to turn to. As CTO, he is responsible for the strategic and operational development of our software, for release and update planning, and for quality assurance. However, Albrecht Bosler is by no means a reclusive IT professional: He manages our technical partnerships and provides consulting services for clients on customized solutions that are perfectly tailored to their individual needs.

After graduating from high school and completing his military service, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen and subsequently supplemented this with a one-year postgraduate program in computer science. This combination would prove ideal for crossbase—many of our clients are in the mechanical engineering industry.

Thomas Kern and Albrecht Bosler had already worked together successfully in various capacities before founding crossbase. So it was a natural step for them to venture into self-employment together in 2001.

Thanks to his technical expertise, many decisions critical to the company’s success were successfully implemented, including the very early and seamless integration of Adobe InDesign into the crossbase solution, the end-to-end integration of the Unicode standard, and the implementation of a highly flexible database model. In addition, the expansion of the application portfolio to include crossbase.web, crossbase.api, and crossbase.ai was largely developed by Albrecht Bosler.

The CTO’s key guiding principles are customer satisfaction and a close-knit, family-like atmosphere among colleagues. For Albrecht Bosler, this is essential to creating a positive environment for innovation and looking to the future with optimism. He draws his confidence from his actively lived biblical Christian faith as well as from his relationship with friends and family. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, volunteers in his church, and is passionately dedicated to portrait photography.
