Configurator for Excel Exports

The Easiest Way to Get Started with E-Commerce for Trade Partners

The Excel configurator allows you to export any product information for a selection of items. The content selection is compiled in easy-to-use dialog boxes and saved as a customer-specific configuration. This allows users—even without programming knowledge—to configure the column-by-column structure of an Excel file and perform customer-specific Excel
exports.

The Excel format is widely used for data exchange because it is easily readable—by both people and machines. It is the simplest way to provide data to trade partners for e-commerce purposes in a way that meets their specific needs.

The Benefits

  • Easily configure Excel exports for e-commerce purposes
  • Access to all stored product information
  • Manage customer-specific templates
  • Select language and assortment for the Excel export
  • Export of included image files and documents
  • Exports that can be run manually or on a schedule

Procedure for Excel Export

The Excel export is performed in two steps:

First, a customer-specific template is created, and the required content is configured for the respective columns in the Excel file.

All product information is available for the configuration of the Excel columns:

  • Structural information, e.g., the product group
  • Attributes, e.g., GTIN, dimensions, material
  • Images or documents, e.g., product photo, user manual
  • Text, e.g., short text, product description, benefits
  • Product relationships, e.g., accessories, replacement parts
  • Keywords
  • Price data, e.g., gross price, scaled prices
  • In the second step, the Excel export is performed:
  • Select a previously defined assortment or item list
  • Select the desired languages
  • Specify the directory or a ZIP file for exporting image files and documents

Additional Features
